    I’ve been to this Medicare office many times over the years and have always found them to be exceptionally polite and helpful.

    To new permanent immigrants, make sure you tell them you are not "leaving" Australia even if you booked a holiday to Bali. You must answer you are here permanently when the staff ask you if you will leave Australia. The 'leave' or 'departure' actually implicitly mean if you are leaving permanently or departure permanently. Of course for most of us made so much effort to live in this country that we call home now, we are not planning to leave permanently after just receiving the permanent president visa.

    I am disappointed with the staff as they are intentionally using legally defined terms and almost could be interpreted as misleading.

    Please change the number to the correct contact. I now have to drive to the office for an issue that could be sorted by phone. A government service that is uncontactable is not ideal
